CloudCrowd is a growing startup tackling  business and consumer opportunities in Crowdsourcing, a dynamic space with paradigm-shifting potential. We intend to rewrite the business models of dozens of interesting and lucrative industries. We're up and running with 500,000 tasks under our belt. The front-end to our Workspace is at apps.facebook.com/cloudcrowd. 

We're looking for Front-End and Back-End engineers.

Front-End

• Develops high-quality, concise XHTML & CSS
• Writes self-documenting javascript 
• Thinks asynchronously and knows cross-domain scripting inside and out
• Has built and successfully deployed a cross-browser, cross-domain front-end IA
• Understands the nuance of UI vs. UX, JavaScript vs. ECMAScript, HTML vs. XHTML

Your response should include brief answers to the following:
- What do you love, hate, and love to hate about jquery?
- What, if anything, is wrong with Array.indexOf
- Explain what script injection is and why you would use it.
- Under what circumstances would you modify Object.prototype? Why wouldn't you?
- Does publish_stream and offline_access mean anything to you?

Back-End

• Tech reqs: ruby + rails + sinatra + datamapper, Apache + nginx, SQL (MySQL)
• Deep understanding of the "stack": from tcp connection down to SQL queries
• Expert knowledge developing and debugging in and on *nix platforms 
• Infrastructure / operational mentality
• Have actually solved real-world scale problem(s)

We're at a great size right now, about 12 people.

The company was founded by Alex Edelstein, who developed and managed cool
things at Netscape, Inktomi, Microsoft, and Cloudmark, including Microsoft
Exchange, Microsoft Outlook, and Netscape Navigator, and Jordan Ritter, who
co-founded both Napster and Cloudmark and generally eats scalable backends for
breakfast. We're funded, generating real revenue, and we have cool office space.
