How it Works
We will be providing you with a text written in a non-English language followed by a series of highlighted, one-sentence chunks pulled from the text. These sentences need to be translated from the source language into English.
The original text is provided merely as a reference to help with your work.
Reasons Translations will be Rejected
- Any keywords are mistranslated. In order to qualify as mistranslated, the meaning would have to be sufficiently incorrect such that a reader would misunderstand the intent of the text. Review workers are instructed not to reject translations because of stylistic reasons, such as preferring the word "jacket" over "coat."
- The wrong sentence(s) was translated. Make sure you translate the correct sentence.
- The translation provided was machine translated. Do not submit machine translations.
- The translation is incomplete. This would be a situation in which you only translated a portion of the sentence.
Important Note:
- It is acceptable if there are minor mistakes in grammar such as misplaced commas or improper use of quotes. Each translation will be reviewed by an editor to ensure the final document contains correct grammar, word choice and punctuation. For this reason, it is extremely important that the translation accurately convey the meaning of the original text.
