CloudCrowd Quality Bonus Program
Some projects are eligible for bonuses for really good work. The bonus program is CloudCrowd's way of thanking you for being thorough when conducting work for us. The CloudCrowd Bonus Program is explained below.
How Does It Work?
Projects which pay a bonus will be clearly marked (explained below). To earn the bonus, your submitted work must be approved by the reviewers without additional modifications applied. See examples below.
How Much Will I Get For The Bonus?
Each project that qualifies for the Quality Bonus Program may have different bonus amount. Bonuses are calculated in relation to the total work necessary to complete the task. For example, writing a press release or a chapter in a book takes longer than editing one page, so the writing tasks might pay a larger bonus than editing.
What If I Think I Did A Perfect Job And The Reviewer Doesn't Think So?
If you feel your work was incorrectly rejected or modified by the reviewers, you can appeal the task.
Where Do I See The Bonus Amount?
The bonus amount is displayed in two locations:
- On the 'Available Work' page next to the task pay. This display of the bonus is the day's base bonus rate:
- On the actual task:
Does Everyone Get The Same Bonus?
The base bonus is the same for all workers.
If you are the first person to access the task, you are eligible for the full bonus. If the reviewer locates an error in the work you submitted and makes a correction, that reviewer will receive the full bonus so long as the subsequent reviewers approve the work.
Example Payouts
Scenario 1
Worker A submits a task. Worker B approves the work because worker B didn’t locate any errors. Worker A receives the base pay for the task and the bonus. Worker B receives the base pay for the review work.
| Workers | Base Pay | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Worker A | Yes | Yes |
| Worker B | Yes | No |
Scenario 2
Worker A submits a task. Worker B locates and corrects errors. Worker C evaluates the changes made by worker B and approves the work. Worker A receives the base pay for the task but not the bonus. Worker B receives the base pay for the review work and the bonus. Worker C receives the base pay for the task.
| Workers | Base Pay | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Worker A | Yes | No |
| Worker B | Yes | Yes |
| Worker C | Yes | No |
Will The Bonus Amount Change?
CloudCrowd reserves the right to change the bonus amount without prior notice. However, the maximum bonus you can receive will always be clearly displayed on the task screen.
Why Does The Reviewer Get My Bonus If I Make A Mistake?
Reviewers receive the bonus if they correct at least one mistake. Because reviewers are paid the bonus, they are incentivize to correct tasks that are mostly correct instead of rejecting the complete task.
Are There Still Penalties For Mistakes?
No, you will not be penalized if the reviewer finds mistakes you in your submitted work. Instead of penalizing you for the mistakes, you will simply not receive the bonus for that task. If the reviewer corrects your mistake (and does not reject the task), then that reviewing worker will receive the bonus instead.
