Getting set up on CloudCrowd is easy.

Just follow these steps:

  • If you haven't already signed up for a Facebook account, do so. You will need a Facebook account to access the CloudCrowd Application.

  • Sign up for PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, we can’t pay you.

When you get to the CloudCrowd Application, click on the drop-down arrow next to your name (top right-hand corner). Select the ‘My Profile’ link and fill in your information on the My Profile/Worker Details Page. Fill in your information. Until you complete this, you won’t be able to get paid.

  • If you're interested in writing and editing on our platform, familiarize yourself with our Style Guide, our Editor Essentials, the Marketing Resource Center, and Glossary. It’s necessary that you know our standards prior to taking a credential test or beginning tasks so that your work is accepted and reviewed highly.

  • Take the English Comprehension Test. How you score on this test will help decide which credentials you can apply for in the next step.

  • Practice for a credential test.

You are limited to how many times you can take each credential test, so don’t rush into taking the tests.

  • Test for a writing, editing, or keyword research credential.

When you get to the credential tests, the center column tells you what the requirements are for each credential. Many of the credentials don’t have any prerequisites, but some of the higher-level credential tests do have some. Once you see a credential you think you can qualify for, write down the name. Don’t take the test yet.

Review the test instructions thoroughly. For some tests, you aren’t allowed any mistakes, so you need to make sure you follow every instruction. If you aren’t comfortable with the test, you can click ‘Exit’ to leave the test or you can press ‘Skip’ if you want to get a new test. For example, if your topic for the General Writer test isn’t one you are comfortable writing, pressing ‘Skip’ will give you a new topic. Watch the timer at the bottom of the CC interface. If time expires, you can’t submit your test. No matter what test you are taking, proofread it at least twice before you turn it in. Submit your test when you have it completed. A popup will let you know it was submitted properly.

  • If you don’t have or want a credential, you can still do work and begin making money. Just click the “Available Work” tab in the Facebook application and click on a task.
