CloudCrowd Client Wins VatorSplash Honors

When Rentcycle CEOTim Hyer recently needed to categorize more than 20,000 rental business websites and couldn't get the job done on Amazon's Mechanical Turk, he turned to CloudCrowd.  "Tim came to us with a tight deadline," said CrowdCloud's Director of Business Development, Alec Dinner,  "We had to deliver his results in time for him to present at two upcoming events, and he'd already spent a lot of time trying, but failing, to get the job done with Mechanical Turk.'

CloudCrowd sorted the sites accurately in under a week-- at a fraction of the cost of what it would have cost to hire someone to do it in-house.  Hyer was thrilled with the cost, speed, and of course the results. Rentcycle went on to take top honors as the winning presenter at VatorSplash 2010, a showcase for startup companies sponsored by Vator.tv.

"We're proud that we were able to play a part in Rentcycle's success at VatorSplash," said Dinner, "Working with clients like Tim demonstrates how disruptive the power of our Crowd can be, particularly in the hands of companies like Rentcycle who are looking to redefine a marketplace."

As the first online rental marketplace, Rentcycle provides businesses greater visibility to a targeted audience and converts online leads into online sales.
